Pawse and Purr was created to showcase rescue cats from Next Chance Cat Rescue while providing a learning environment about feline behaviour and training. We have built an environment for cats to become comfortable enough to choose a family. Through their socialization, we can empower people with tricks and tips to make their life better with their cat. Each cat has an individualized wellness plan which includes their medical, behavioural and emotional needs. The cats do not live on location, but are instead trained in choice-based communication techniques. This allows them to choose to go into the carriers and “work” at Pawse and Purr for the day. Next Chance Cat Rescue specializes in senior cats and supports other cat rescues by taking on cats that haven’t found success in their current situation.
