Goal to keep the Lounge open for next year:

  • Pawse and Purr is a non-profit facility that gives rescue cats (from Next Chance Cat Rescue) a public place to be loved by people and possibly find an adopter or foster home.
  • To cover operation expenses and advance our mission; we charge admission, have a monthly supporter program with perks, and sell a small, select amount of products and educational materials.
  • Our Supporter’s funds go directly towards keeping the Lounge open for the following year, which allows us to help the rescue cats, run feline behaviour/training seminars, facilitate community programs and events, and provide student volunteer opportunities. Thank you!
  • Does this money go into any fundraiser events? No – our seminars, events, and private sessions provide value and interest that keeps us relevant within our community.
  • Do these funds go towards CEO salaries? No – our non-profit does not have CEOs. We are two co-owners who oversee the Lounge personally, and have volunteer positions to help us out with additional tasks.
  • What about any Advertising Costs? We always strive to keep our advertising costs purposely minimal in order to keep our Supporter’s funding focused on operational expenses instead of advertising. How do we do this?
  • We mainly rely on word-of-mouth and positive experiences for people to spread the word.
  • All media and social media content is designed in-house by us personally to reduce marketing expenses.

  • Our team, volunteers and visitors work together to take photos and videos of the Lounge and cats. Our rescue cats are given the spotlight with the help of our amazing and caring community!   • Our amazing online community makes free social media an effective alternative to paid advertising! We encourage any social media photos posted on your personal accounts to be tagged with #pawseandpurr to help people find us, and to check out and share our social media accounts.
