Frequently Asked Questions2026-07-07T23:01:43-04:00
1. Can I bring my pet? 2026-07-13T16:28:28-04:00

For the safety of all animals and people involved, we do not accept walk-in pets in our Lounge facility, though service animals are welcome. This is not a boarding or daycare service for the public. If you wish to have a behaviour assessment or training for your pet specifically, please see our Private Sessions page for more info.

2. What is your Food and Drink policy?2026-07-13T16:30:08-04:00

We do not serve food and drink, though there is a small self-serve kiosk for tea and coffee available. You are welcome to bring outside food but please note that we are a small space and often have children in our facility – please avoid bringing foods that are overly smelly or contain common allergens. Remember that whatever food/drink you choose to bring must be kept safely away from the cats, please do not feed them.

3. What about visitors with Cat Allergies?2026-07-13T16:37:33-04:00

We cannot guarantee that your allergies will not affect you at Pawse & Purr. Should you choose to visit, please come prepared with your allergen medications if any. Also, if you are looking for long-term allergen solutions, please consider talking to your doctor about being referred to an allergist.

We are doing all we can to reduce allergens:

4. What is an appropriate Age to Visit?2026-07-13T16:41:25-04:00

We welcome all ages with appropriate supervision! We strive to provide something for every age group, including toys, puzzles, books, and games.

Please see our Visit Us page for information on child admission.

  • We have a variety of chairs to sit in as well as floor seating options.
  • For visitors with higher sensory needs, it is recommended to call ahead and let us know how we can best provide support during the visit and whether an accommodative reservation would be preferable.

6. Why haven’t you responded to my comment on social media?2026-07-13T17:43:59-04:00
  • TLDR (Too Long Didn’t Read): We still want to hear from you, just IRL (in real life). Send your question or concern via email (info@pawseandpurr.com) or call/text  (416-804-3582 or 437-499-7877) instead, please!
  • Our Social Media Engagement Values: Pawse and Purr Cat Lounge was created based on the immeasurable value of two things: rescue cats getting real one-on-one time with the public for socialization, and people learning about cat behaviour/training through real one-on-one time with us. Our social media accounts are only for: letting our rescue cats get the recognition they deserve, sharing educational content about cat behaviour, and advertising our non-profit as frugally as possible out of respect and transparency to our Supporters. Our email and phone number is where you can connect with us for customer service, comments, feedback or questions – and get a real response from us.
  • This means that rather than our small team endlessly scrolling through all comments (made with varying degrees of interest in getting a response from us) on daily postings, through multiple social media accounts – we have chosen to instead prioritize having real one-on-one conversations with the people who wish the most to be genuinely responded to. We still absolutely want to hear from you, just IRL (in real life). Send your question or concern via email (info@pawseandpurr.com) or call/text (416-804-3582 or 437-499-7877) instead, please! Looking forward to hearing from you!
